How we support new families
Raising a baby in Queenstown Lakes can be tough. The cost of living is high, many new parents are far from whānau, and support networks can be hard to find.
The Baby Box is our way of responding with care. Born from a Finnish tradition more than 75 years ago, it began as a simple idea: give every new baby a safe, supported start in life. Each Baby Box bag is filled with high-quality baby essentials, practical support, and handmade gifts from local volunteers to support a baby's first few months.
These items are so beautiful. It is such a touching moment getting the baby box and finding all the special pieces inside - a really wonderful initiative.
